Anyway, pop over and see what I’m up to.
How about you, what are you up to in your life – photography and otherwise – right now?

You know, unless my health is an issue, someone has passed, or my career has changed, I almost never update that page. I think for most people life is humdrum.
I agree in that we’re fed huge expectations these days. We’re told we need to be doing everything all at once and super successful at all of them to have any kind of fulfilment. But this is a ridiculous expectation and pressure, and means you end up enjoying none of it.
I think the more we can try to appreciate the ordinary, the beauty in the tiny, daily details, the more at peace we become, and stop trying to chase unrealistic expectations that leave us unhappy.
Let’s celebrate the humdrum!
Dan and especially to Khurt, I live with severe chronic illnesses but manage an extraordinary life mostly homebound where I enjoy endless creative activities like arts and crafts, photography, reading, TV and DVDs, gardening, online and offline engagement with people, caring for my very eccentric home called Rainbow Cottage and I do it in short bursts of 5 minutes or so with constant rest breaks where I watch nature through the windows and engage with the world through my mind and senses
Susan I have always appreciated this about you, how you see beauty and joy in the every day that most people don’t even stop to look at and enjoy.
If we can’t learn to do this, I think we remain chasing empty experiences that never fulfil us as we’re always looking and hoping for more.
