Each day I try to…
Practise yoga for 15 minutes.
Walk for 15 minutes at lunchtime (and walk 10k steps overall).
Exercise (pull ups, push ups, squats).
Give thanks for five things in my life.
Spend time playing and/or reading with our two children.
Spend an hour or two in the evening catching up with my wife.
Write for 35hunter, either new posts or responding to comments.
Read two or three new blog posts.
Listen to a few tracks of music.
Each week I try to…
Make some new photographs with a camera I enjoy using.
Edit photographs already made.
Ride my bike three or four times.
Walk the kids to school two or three times.
Go for at least one longer walk (90 mins or more, usually with camera).
When we feel like we’re not doing enough, or that we don’t have enough time, I think it’s useful to look at what we actually do fit in, each day, and each week.
Just writing the above daily and weekly lists (and these are activities I choose to do for their benefits and enjoyment, in addition to the fundamentals of sleeping, eating and working) has helped me see I have a pretty active and creative life.
How about you? What do you try to do, each day, and each week?
