This month is the sixth this year I’ve committed to one camera for the whole month, and my weapon of choice this time is the Lumix LX3.
See the first part here, or all One Month, One Camera (OMOC) posts here.
The LX3 is one of few remaining cameras I have, and for good reason.
The 13 days of this month so far has reminded why.
Like a handful of others, it could be the only camera I need, and when I’m using it, I don’t long for anything extra or different.
Here are a few of my favourite shots so far this month.
More to come as the month unfolds…
Thanks for looking.

One to three cameras. A couple of lenses. Even that can be overwhelming.
I wrote before about the dangers of interchangeable lenses before –

It’s hard enough sometimes when you have even three or four cameras with fixed lenses.
With interchangeable lenses, three cameras plus three compatible lenses means nine combos. Five of each gives 25, six presents 36. It soon escalates beyond sensible numbers!
I can’t believe at one point I had something like 12 DLSRs that could use any of my 15-20 M42 lenses. I don’t even want to do the calculations on how many choices I had!
As always, excellent details and contrast!
Thanks Mel. Gotta love those Lumix dynamic mono film modes!
I always look forward to the One Month One Camera posts. These photos are so beautiful in detail!
Thanks Melissa, glad you enjoy them! I expect to continue the project into next year, as it’s a good way of having a small range of cameras, but focusing on getting the best from only one at a time.
